In a high-pitched and bitter battle for Uttar
Pradesh, the low profile Dimple Yadav, Lok Sabha MP from Kannauj and
Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav's wife, seems to be emerging as a leader
in her own right. Addressing well over 20 rallies on her own, it's been a
long journey for Dimple who lost her first election - the Lok Sabha
polls of 2009 - and has largely been a silent MP in parliament since
2009.
But now the shyness has changed and Dimple Yadav facing every war of words from opponents like BJP's Smriti Irani who said she is not safe among the party workers. Dimple replied with grace and soulful words. And it seems people are liking her soft statements rather than abusing with comments.
